Description/Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of the Western Wrestling Program, including but not limited

to:

o Varsity and Junior Varsity Wrestling Team

o Feeder Programs-Middle School and Youth Program

Staff Formation:

o Help select and vet coaches for all levels of Western Wrestling

o Instruct coaches at lower levels on proper fundamentals and scheme

Fundraising:

o Fundraise for needs above what the athletic department is able to

provide

Communication:

o Communicate expectations to players and parents

o Communicate schedules and events with players and parents

o Highlight the Western Wrestling Program and its athletes

Lead Players and Coaches:

o Model appropriate behavior

o Serve as a role model for your athletes and the student body

o Corner decorum will reflect a first-class program

o Support multi-sport athletes and work with all athletic coaches

o Develop a program that the Western School Community will be proud of,

on and off the mat

o Work with other coaches to develop a top tier strength and conditioning

program

o Plan and implement summer workouts while working with other coaches

and athletic teams

Qualities/Abilities:

o A passion for Education Based coaching and mentoring

o Motivational and encouraging

o Ability to recruit students to the sport

o Create excitement around the program

o Hold events that engage fans and community members

o Support and attend other school functions
