This position will assist the head softball coach and other staff with maintaining a competitive Division I womens softball program. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, recruiting and retaining top level student-athletes; to assist in teaching softball and life skills that will allow softball student-athletes to be successful on and off the field as well as in the classroom as well as administrative duties.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:- Earned Bachelors degree by application date;
- Minimum of one year of collegiate softball coaching or 2 years as a graduate assistant at an NCAA DI or DII level;
- Commitment to promote an atmosphere of compliance and adherence to institutional, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations;
- Excellent communication (verbal, written, interpersonal); and
- Proven career path.
- Valid drivers license, or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire, and willingness to travel.
- Earned Masters degree
- Division I coaching experience
- Infield and outfield development experience
- Demonstrated ability of student-athlete recruitment process;
- Experience with player development
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
- Experience with softball administrative duties (i.e. travel, scheduling, camps, equipment/apparel, compliance, academics)
