McCurdy Charter School invites dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to apply for the position of Volunteer Head Coach for Football (Football (26/27 SY), Middle School Volleyball (26/27 SY).

We believe that athletics plays a crucial role in developing character, teamwork, and leadership skills in our students. By volunteering your time and expertise, you will be providing an invaluable service to our school community and directly impacting the lives of our student-athletes.

General Head Coach Duties

The Volunteer Head Coach is responsible for the overall operation of the program to which they are assigned. This includes, but is not limited to:

Instruction and Development: Teaching fundamental skills, advanced strategies, and sportsmanship to student-athletes.

Team Management: Planning and conducting all practices, managing game-day operations, and maintaining necessary equipment inventory.

Safety and Well-being: Ensuring a safe environment for all participants and prioritizing the health and academic success of the student-athletes.

Character Building: Modeling and enforcing high standards of conduct, ethics, and respect.

Communication: Maintaining effective communication with the Athletic Director, school administrators, students, and parents.

As such, this position does not include compensation, benefits, or any employment rights or protections afforded to school employees.

Requirements:

Minimum Volunteer Requirements

To ensure the safety and professionalism of our athletic program, all Volunteer Head Coaches must meet the following requirements prior to beginning service:

Possess a valid and current coaching license.

Hold a current CPR/First Aid certification.

Successfully complete a criminal background check mandated by McCurdy Charter School.

Successfully complete a drug test mandated by McCurdy Charter School.
