Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists the Head Coach and Womens Soccer Program with:
a. Developing a program that will be competitive in the Pacific West Conference.
b. Successfully recruiting and retaining academically and athletically motivated student athletes who will have a positive impact on the program and campus.
c. Planning, scheduling and conducting team practices and workouts.
d. Preparing annual (conference and non-conference) schedules for submission to the Director of Athletics.
e. Managing all aspects of home contests, including coordination of facilities and officials.
f. Organizing clinics and participating in community projects.
g. Making travel arrangements for entire travel party:
i. Work with Associate Athletic Director on flight arrangements by preparing dates, times and number of seats required.
ii. Make lodging and rental car reservations
iii. Provide necessary documentation to office staff for the processing of travel requests/completions - Responsible for ordering, keeping inventory and maintenance of uniforms, supplies and equipment.
- Responsible for field maintenance and field improvement.
- Responsible for coordinating the programs fundraising activities and the outreach of alumni.
- Responsible for completing and submitting all required compliance forms and timely submission of CARA and recruit logs.
- Know and abide by the rules, regulations and policies of the University of Hawaii, the Athletics Department, the Pacific West Conference and the NCAA.
- Perform other duties/functions as assigned.
- Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in any field and two (2) years/seasons of experience coaching collegiate soccer; or any equivalent combination of education and/or coaching experience and/or playing at the collegiate level which provides the required education, knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated.
- Proficient in Google Docs, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to travel in-state and out-of-state.
- Prior NCAA DII coaching experience.
