Job Title: Preschool Gymnastics Coach

Reports To: Preschool Programs Director

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Hourly Rate: $15.16-$19/HR starting depending on experience and availability

Job Overview:
The Preschool Gymnastics Coach will teach their students how to safely execute beginning gymnastics
skills
Responsibilities:
Supervise classes with boys and girls of a young age
Teach skills and abilities
Assist in the warm up
Ensure controlled class management
Assess the skills of each gymnast
Set up a safe gym environment
Adhere to safe practices for all equipment
Ensure correct technique is used while spotting
Adapt equipment for age, ability, and size of gymnast
Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures
Plan and come prepared
Qualifications:
Gymnastics background preferred
Passion for childrens development and a strong commitment to being part of a team
Passion for athletics and creating a fun environment for learning
Experience in child care or athletics programs encouraged
Ability to teach nights and/or Saturdays
Ability to set up a safe gymnastics experience for children
Must be energetic
Must be confident spotting basic gymnastics skills and leading fun classes
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to complete tasks in a loud/chaotic environment.
May occasionally have to work long hour days in an environment with potential for strobe lights and fog
machines.
Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Must be able to communicate with colleagues and athletes.
The person in this position is expected to spend the shift moving about inside the gym/studio.
The ability to observe details at a close range (within a few feet of the observer).
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear,
reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers.
