Position: Assistant Football Coach

Location: Lovell High School

Qualifications: Candidates must hold, or be eligible to hold, a Wyoming coaching permit with the appropriate endorsement.

Essential Functions:

• Ability to develop drill and practice activities that teach and enhance individual/team skill development that makes up the game/activity alongside the head coach.
• Be able to work well and support the head coach in the program.
• Ability to plan and enforce appropriate safety and health rules and regulations.
• Ability to develop a supervision plan that ensures the safety and welfare of students at all times:locker room, trips, practices, etc.
• Maintains confidentiality about students and others.
• Presents a professional appearance.
• Have a strong positive relationship with players and parents.
• Ability to be an effective communicator with all audiences players, parents, supervisors, peers and spectators.
• Ability to receive, understand and follow directions.
• Be able to model/demonstrate activities and equipment used to develop basic skills or physical condition.
• Ability to observe, diagnose, and prescribe appropriate remediation activities during practice and game conditions for players and team.
• Must know and be able to apply the developmental stages of each point of the game to the needs and ability levels of the team/players.
• Assimilate innovations and adapt to changes where applicable.
• Support the philosophies of Big Horn County School District #2 activities.
