This role requires a dynamic leader with a passion for sports, a commitment to student development, and the ability to foster a positive and competitive environment and build relationships with the community. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for all levels of the program. Recruit, train, evaluate, and mentor assistant coaches and support staff. Monitor and evaluate the performance of student-athletes, providing feedback and guidance to help them achieve their full potential. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, procedures and trainings as governed by Idaho High School Activities Association and the West Ada School District. Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth. Coordinate with the Activities/Athletic Director to schedule and manage practices, games, and other events. Oversee and manage the athletic department's budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources, monitoring expenditures, and adhering to financial policies and procedures. Develop and implement effective fundraising strategies to help supplement financial support for the athletic program. Ensure the athletic facilities are well-maintained, safe, and meet the needs of the athletes and staff. Communicate expectations to all stakeholders and student athletes. Promote the athletic program within the school and the community to all stakeholders. Provide support and guidance to student-athletes in their academic success and achievements. Communicate and report all athletic injuries to the Athletic Trainer (HIGH SCHOOL ONLY) Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years (preferred)of relevant coaching experience, with a proven track record of success. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of student-athletes, coaches, and administrators. Knowledge of HIPAA, FERPA, NFHS, IHSAA, and WASD policies and regulations CPR and First Aid certification Skills and Abilities: Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. High level of integrity and professionalism. Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure. All candidates will be subject to a background check if offered the position.
