Towson University, a Division I member of the Coastal Athletic Association, is accepting applications for an Assistant Coach for Womens Lacrosse. This position, under the direction of the head coach, teaches and provides instruction in the sport of women's lacrosse and assists in the planning, promotion, and administration of a quality Division I women's lacrosse program. Responsibilities for the Assistant Coach for Women’s Lacrosse include, but are not limited to the following\:

  • Assisting in planning and conducting practices scouting sessions
  • Developing and enhancing players' technical skills and understanding of tactical systems
  • Supporting operational tasks including, but not limited to\:
    o Film review and analysis
    o Arranging travel accommodations
    o Coordinating team meals
  • Monitoring and supporting student-athletes' academic performance
  • Assisting with all recruiting responsibilities and talent identification of prospective student-athletes
  • Ensuring personal and program adherence to all institutional, conference, and NCAA rules/requirements
  • Promoting the women's lacrosse program and Towson University athletics through various channels
  • Organizing and participating in community service activities
  • Assisting with other duties as assigned by the head coach or Athletic Department

The work hours for this position include nights and weekends, as necessary. Travel is required. Required Qualifications\:

  • Bachelors degree
  • One year of lacrosse coaching experience at the high school, collegiate, camp/clinic, or professional level
  • Knowledge of strategies and skills in the sport of womens lacrosse, as well as University, conference, and NCAA rules/regulations/requirements

Preferred Qualifications\:

  • Master's degree
  • Experience in coaching at the Division I level
  • Targeted hiring range is $65,000 - $75,000 and University benefits that include up to 17 holidays, and sick days; excellent health, life, and retirement plans; and tuition remission.
