We are currently seeking a motivated and dedicated first assistant golf professional to join our team. The First Assistant Golf Professional provides support to the Golf Operations department. This position is responsible for aiding the Director of Golf to manage the Golf Shop, customer service, tournament operations, and Course programs. This position assists the Director of Golf in the successful growth and operations of the company.
Full-Time position
· PGA/LPGA Member or Associate in good standing
· Must possess exceptional communication skills
· Must be highly motivated, goal driven and self-starter
· Minimum two (2) years’ experience working in Golf Operations or retail environment.
· Experience with member-centric and guest service
· Strong knowledge of golf operations, tournament coordination, and teaching techniques.
· Exceptional communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and Access.
· Open and close the Golf Shop in accordance with accepted policies and procedures.
· Utilize the point-of-sale (POS) register system to schedule golf tee times, register guests for play, and perform financial transactions.
· Administer the continuous use of an effective pace of play program.
· Provide a professional and an exceptional customer service presence on the course, practice facility, and in the golf shop.
· Promote and sell golf shop merchandise; maintain appropriate “cost-of-goods-sold” percentage.
· Assist Director of Golf in execution all tournament activities and golf genius tournament software.
· Assist with merchandising in the golf shop and inventory management.
· Manage of Cart/Range staff, under supervision of Director of Golf.
· Assist in Junior golf activities
· Stay up to date on all club fitting and teaching aspects.
Compensation:
Hourly wage
Club repair/regrip Commissions
