Position Overview The Athletic Director at Muskegon Catholic Central will provide strategic leadership for all middle school and high school athletic programs while serving as a key contributor to the schools advancement, enrollment, and community engagement efforts. This position works collaboratively with school leadership, coaches, faculty, families, alumni, donors, and community partners to promote excellence in athletics and strengthen the overall mission of the school.They will not only hire the best coaches they can find but they will work with the entire administrative team to continue to build on our history of great coaching staff. They will lead from the front and they will support from the back.The successful candidate will understand that athletic programs are among the most visible expressions of our school and will leverage that platform to foster school pride, community support, and institutional growth.Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess: -A bachelors degree required; masters degree preferred. -Experience in athletic administration, coaching, education, leadership, development, or a related field.-Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.-Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage programs, and oversee multiple priorities.-Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education. -Experience with fundraising, community engagement, enrollment initiatives, or donor relations is highly valued. -Knowledge of Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) regulations and athletic program management preferred. Key Responsibilities Athletic Leadership -Provide vision, leadership, and oversight for all athletic programs. -Recruit, support, supervise, and evaluate coaching staff. -Coordinate athletic scheduling, transportation, facilities, budgets, and event management. -Ensure compliance with MHSAA regulations and school policies. -Promote a culture of sportsmanship, faith, character, and competitive excellence.-Track participation data and academic performance data in collaboration with teachers, coaches, and administrators Development & Advancement -Support the schools mission of developing the whole personspirit, mind, and body.-Serve as an essential member of the schools development team. -Support fundraising initiatives, sponsorship opportunities, and special events.-Build and strengthen relationships with alumni, donors, boosters, and community stakeholders. -Help identify opportunities to enhance athletic programs through philanthropic and community support. -Partner with school leadership to advance strategic growth initiatives.Enrollment & Community Engagement -Develop and implement a comprehensive youth development program that culminates in Varsity level programming but develops all youth along the way -Serve as a visible ambassador for Muskegon Catholic Central throughout the community. -Support student recruitment and retention efforts. -Develop partnerships with youth programs, feeder schools, parish communities, and local organizations. -Promote Crusader athletics through storytelling, relationship-building, and community Outreach.Application Process: Interested candidates should submit a letter of interest, resume, and references directly to: Dr. Jerry McDowell ...
