Sports Information Assistant

Under direction of the Athletic Director and the Sports Information Director, the Sports Information Assistant is responsible for various aspects of media and sports information relating to New Mexico Military Institutes junior college and high school sport teams, and their support programs.

• Ability to write, edit, and produce articles and press releases effectively.
• Interpersonal skills necessary to develop relationships with the community, internally and externally.
• Broad knowledge of various sports and their rules of competition.
• Knowledge and experience with sports action photography.
• Extensive computer skills, including website development, graphic design, spreadsheets, word processing, photo finishing, audio/visual production, and development.

• Bachelors degree in a related field.
• Strong sports background and preparation.
• Willingness to work off campus and travel.
• Typical and atypical work hours (mornings, evenings, weekends).
