Soccer Coach (Boys B Team) Needed
Location: Shelburne Community School

Shelburne Community School (SCS) is seeking a caring and knowledgeable soccer coach to lead our Boys B team for the 2026 fall season. The SCS boys soccer program is expected to serve up to 40-50 student-athletes. We are looking for an individual who can foster a competitive and supportive environment while helping athletes develop both on and off the field.
This is a part-time, category C stipend position. The season begins on Thursday, August 27, 2026, and runs through late October 2026. Weekly commitments traditionally include practices or games four afternoons/evenings per week (M, T, Th, F), with 1.5-hour practices beginning at 3:00 PM and games ending around 6:30 PM.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Boys B Soccer program, providing specialized instruction and skill development to middle school student-athletes.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team climate using strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Collaborate with the Boys A Team and girls soccer coaching staff to ensure program continuity and alignment with school goals.
- Ensure all safety and educational protocols are followed to support student achievement and well-being.
- Maintain clear communication with student-athletes, families, and the school community regarding program expectations and goals.
The Ideal Candidate Will Possess
- Demonstrated experience in soccer, either through previous playing or coaching roles; experience coaching middle school-age athletes is preferred, but not required.
- Proven ability to motivate middle school-aged athletes and cultivate a lifelong appreciation for physical fitness and teamwork.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to interface effectively with the broader school community.
- A commitment to inclusivity, helping to develop an environment that represents and welcomes all students and families.
- High-level dependability and a passion for helping young people make healthy, positive choices.

This is a part-time stipend position based on qualifications and experience. The position is a "category C activity" on our co-curricular contract and the compensation is based on the Collective Bargaining Agreement. More information about CVSD can be found on our district website .
