Coach, Assistant Coach - Track/Sprints

Southwest High School is seeking a sprint coach who is a certified teacher and/or coach and is a highly motivated, positive leader with strong instructional skills and expertise in sprint technique development.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe and positive practice and competitive environment for student-athletes. Duties include planning and supervising practices, coaching during track meets, and ensuring proper instruction in sprint training and technique. The coach must understand, implement, and enforce all national, state, district, and local athletic policies and procedures.

This position is part of the overall track and field coaching staff and includes specific responsibilities for clinics, practices, and competitions at all program levels.

A strong belief in the value of education-based athletics is essential, along with a commitment to placing the student-athlete experience at the center of the program. The ideal candidate will promote character development, sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth while helping student-athletes reach their full potential both on and off the track.

This position is subject to a veterans preference.
