Here's what you'll do during a typical day: Oversee daily course maintenance: Assist in managing golf course and practice area upkeep, including irrigation systems, maintenance facilities, restrooms, natural landscapes, and other designated property areas Supervise projects and inspections: Oversee minor construction projects, facility inspections, and equipment maintenance to ensure high-quality course conditions Optimize turf health: Track irrigation performance, diagnose turf issues related to pests, weeds, and diseases, and recommend corrective actions Assist with budgeting and planning: Contribute to annual maintenance and capital improvement budgeting, helping to prioritize needs and allocate resources efficiently Maintain accurate records: Keep detailed documentation of maintenance activities, inventory, pesticide use, weather data, and compliance with safety and environmental regulations Act as the Superintendent delegate: Serve as the department leader in the Superintendent's absence, ensuring continuity of operations and standards Cultivate a high-performing team: Recruit new talent while driving team growth through performance management, professional development, and recognition programs
