Athletics/Activites Secrtary-10-month Secretary

Reports To : Activites/Athletics Director

FLSA Stats : Non-exempt, hourly

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Health and Inoculation Certificate on file in the central office (after employment offer is made).
  • Demonstrated typing and filing skills.
  • Experience in using various computers and computer programs.
  • Desire to continue career improvement by enhancing skills and job performance.
  • Requires use of equipment including repetitive motions and computer eye fatigue.
  • Must be able to work in noisy and crowded environments, with numerous interruptions.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks at one time efficiently and courteously.

General Functions:

  • Provide office and clerical support to assist with the efficient operation of the school district.
  • Ensure all activities conform to district guidelines.
  • Communicate and work effectively and cooperatively with members of the school district and community.
  • React to change and frequent interruptions in a productive and positive manner, and meeting deadlines as assigned.
  • Operate all equipment appropriately as required.
  • Work to implement the vision and mission of the district.
  • Assist with processing purchasing request for the activites and athletics departments acorss the district
  • Assist in maintining and updating the activites and athletics budges in collobration with the Activites/Athletics Director.
  • Requires prolonged sitting or standing, and use of equipment including repetitive motions and computer eye fatigue.
  • Must occasionally work in noisy and crowded environments, with numerous interruptions.
  • Regular attendance is required of all employees subject to allowed leave in accordance with district policy or negotiated agreement, as appropriate. Excessive absences or tardiness, unauthorized leave or unexcused absences may result in disciplinary action including termination of employment

Terms of Employment: At will employment. 12-month 2,080-hour position.

Evaluation: Performance evaluations in accordance with the Board’s policy and the Classified Employee Handbook.
