Primary Duties
Coach and Manage the Men and Women's Golf Teams
- Coach student-athletes, including all mens and womens golf team practices and scheduled games/competitions.
- Develop sound game plan and strategy.
- Condition and train athletes, including skill demonstration, in order to develop skill, character and teamwork in mens and womens golf.
- Manage the entire mens and womens golf program by planning and coordinating all activities.
- Ensure that all University, conference and NCAA rules and regulations are followed, including student-athlete eligibility, recruiting, financial aid, scheduling and academic progress.
- Manage the programs operating budget through procurement requests, and travel reimbursements.
Promote Success of the Program
- Recruit highly-qualified prospective student-athletes.
- Monitor student-athlete academics, including student-athlete welfare and encouraging academic excellence.
- Organize team camps (if applicable); develop fund-raising opportunities, serve on committees that promote success of the program and athletics, and establish and maintain community contacts and enhance the success of the program.
Ancillary Duties
- Other duties as assigned by the Vice President for Athletics and Strategic Partnerships.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree from an accredited 4-year institution
- Willing and able to work nights and weekends Physical ability to fulfill duties of the position including lifting up to 50 lbs. and having the mobility needed to demonstrate skills and movement required in practices/contests.
- Previous coaching experience
- Experience in a position or activity that required skills in cooperation, organization, communication and problem solving
- Experience in a diverse work environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree from an accredited institution
- Demonstrated commitment and ability to motivate, teach, and counsel student-athletes
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
- Strong management, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Experience as an assistant or head golf coach
- Experience coaching at the collegiate level in golf
- Experience recruiting for NCAA qualified student-athletes
- Experience in a position or activity that required the ability to manage multiple tasks

Salary
$60,000 to $67,500
