Accounts receivable professionals note all cash, check, and credit card revenue and ensure that the company is compensated for all goods and/or services rendered. They prepare invoices, resolve disputed charges, contact customers regarding past-due accounts, and address all refund requests.
Accounts receivable personnel must be well organized and have strong attention to detail in order to input and maintain important documentation in the company’s financial database. As payments are collected, they must also reconcile information on a regular basis to ensure accuracy.
