Job Description

Candidate must be a high level sales executive with a preferred 7+ years of experience. Individual must be high-energy and self-motivated with a proven track record of success in sales. Employee will be responsible for all business operations of the property including:

  • Overall revenue generation and cost containment for the business operation.
  • Sales duties will include prospecting, cold calling, scheduling and conducting initial diagnostic/qualifying meetings, creation and development of specific proposals, presenting proposals to the prospects/clients and securing decisions on such proposals
  • Development and implementation of annual business plan that will allow the Partnership to maximize revenue, exposure for the institutional brand, and value to the corporate partners involved with the program
  • Management of expenses of the venture according to an agreed-upon annual budget
  • Management of the overall sponsorship fulfillment and execution, including direct client services duties for sponsor accounts.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for institution’s current sponsors.  Work with decision-makers at these companies to extend and increase their financial commitment to the institution.
  • Manage the relevant reporting of financial information for sales revenue as well as operations of the program to all pertinent parties.
  • Plan and manage internal communications and awareness of corporate and University direction, mission, and goals in the marketplace
  • Management of a staff of 1-2 people who will assist in the sales and implementation of corporate sponsors, production of applicable radio broadcasts and other operational duties of the business unit
  • Develop and maintain relationships with top University Administrators
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including game days, evenings, weekends and some holidays
  • Will report directly to the Vice President as well as Executive Management staff in Van Wagner headquarters
