St. Bonaventure University is seeking a Head Coach for Women's Soccer. The Head Coach is responsible for overseeing all aspects and management of a competitive NCAA Division I Womens Soccer program, including conducting practices and games, scheduling competitions, recruiting of qualified students, fundraising, fiscal oversight, and donor/alumni/community relations. Eligible for incentive bonuses. Essential Functions: Plans and executes a successful program that would include duties such as: conducting regular team practice sessions; coaching student athletes, evaluating student-athletes performance in practice and competition; monitoring the conditioning and training of student athletes, advises and counsels student athletes regarding their obligations to comply with all rules and regulations related to financial aid and eligibility, as well as personal conduct and academics. Develops competition schedule in conjunction with Senior Associate Director of Athletics to promote success.

55% Arranges and conducts recruiting functions including off- and on-campus visits, evaluations and contacts of prospective student-athletes.

25% Attends community, alumni and donor-related events to garner support of program and University; represents program/university at Atlantic 10 Conference meeting; attends regional and national conferences.

10% Responsible for overseeing all expenses and expectations of fiscal responsibility within designated budgets including revenue generation to support program

Supplemental Functions:
Assist with game management including setup, game management and breakdown as needed.
Full travel responsibilities for in-and-out of sport season.
Other duties as assignedBachelors degree is required; Masters Preferred.

5 years of coaching experience at the college, club or professional level preferred or at least 3 years of coaching experience with college playing experience.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an on-going basis without sponsorship.

Certification and/or Licensure
First Aid, CPR, AED Required (or willingness to obtain).

Solid knowledge of NCAA regulations and guidelines governing the recruitment and retention of student-athletes.

Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures and have knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the sport program.
Ability to successfully recruit and retain student athletes.
Skilled in exemplary customer service, including dealing effectively with the students, faculty, staff, and public both in person and over the telephone.
Ability to maintain professionalism when dealing with all staff and other customers and possess the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
Demonstrated knowledge, understanding, and sensitivity to the needs of all prospective as well as current students.
Excellent writing skills and the demonstrated ability to develop written reports and action plans. Good organizational, oral and recruiting skills.
Ability to work effectively, decisively and flexibly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Ability to identify problems and to propose feasible solutions.
Strong organizational skills, ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of, or ability to learn applicable sports-related technology.
Ability to lead and guide student-athletes in area of specialty.
Ability to travel with the team and monitor the conduct of student athletes.
Ability to accept and provide effective supervision, assignments, change and correction.
