Assistant Men's Lacrosse Coach - PT

Responsible for assisting with the management of a competitive NCAA Division I Mens Lacrosse program; assists with conditioning, practices, recruiting, travel arrangements, and student managers. Critical role is supporting the development of each student-athlete as a person, student, lacrosse player, and community. Assists with preparation of Opponent scouting reports 20% Assist with preparation of team game plans; review, develop and adjust daily practice plans accordingly; evaluate players and provide feedback from practice and game video 20% Assist with individual player development for defense and transition players 20% Assist in Strength and Conditioning development; aid in development of comprehensive nutrition program for the team 20% Serve as a liaison with professional lacrosse leagues, teams and representatives 20%

Supplemental Duties:
Assist with game management including setup, game management and breakdown as needed
Other duties as assignedBachelors degree is required, Masters Preferred.

Prior coaching experience at the college level or as a collegiate athlete.

First Aid, CPR, AED Required (or willingness to obtain).

Solid knowledge of NCAA regulations and guidelines governing the recruitment and retention of student-athletes.
Ability to handle highly confidential material and maintain strict confidence.
Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures and have knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the swimming and diving program.
Ability to successfully recruit and retain student athletes.
Skilled in exemplary customer service, including dealing effectively with the students, faculty, staff, and general public both in person and over the telephone.
Ability to maintain professionalism when dealing with all staff and other customers and possess the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
Demonstrated knowledge, understanding, and sensitivity to the needs of all prospective as well as current students.
Excellent writing skills and the demonstrated ability to develop written reports and action plans. Good organizational, oral and recruiting skills.
Ability to work effectively, decisively and flexibly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Ability to identify problems and to propose feasible solutions.
Strong organizational skills, ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of, or ability to learn applicable sports-related technology.
Ability to lead and guide student-athletes in area of specialty.
Ability to travel with the team and monitor the conduct of student athletes.
Ability to accept and provide effective supervision, assignments, changes and correction
