The Purchasing Manager is responsible for the property’s purchasing system and process, including developing policies and procedures, performing the purchasing tasks such as buying, negotiating prices with vendors, and processing appropriate paperwork.

Provide exceptional guest service for all external and internal customers.
•Work closely with department management staff in maintaining proper inventory levels.
•Solicit and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers and vendors.
•Implement and maintain effective and efficient purchasing policies and procedures.
•Negotiate contracts.
•Diligently follow up on open orders and perform various data entry transactions.
•Work closely with accounts payable on invoice variances.
•Knowledge of all levels of purchasing operations.
•Responsible for the operation of the Purchasing department, successful performance of processes, and a favorable working relationship with vendors.
•Manage expenses based on budgeted guidelines and business volumes to include payroll and staffing levels.
•Assure an environment which emphasizes cooperation, communication, and teamwork with all departments.
•Complete job duties with minimal supervision, maintain acceptable attendance, and use appropriate judgment and decision-making skills.
•This position has access to sensitive company cost information and files and also has the responsibility to maintain arms-length supplier relationships, therefore, the highest levels of integrity and honesty are essential.

Strong knowledge of purchasing operations, concepts, and procedures
•Proficient in material management systems for purchasing and receiving
•Ability to learn and use Agilisys SWS system. Prior knowledge of or experience with SWS is a plus.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to interpret and apply contracts
•Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle difficult situations and resolve conflicts professionally
•Maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive information
•Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
•Able to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in fast-paced environments
•Proficient in Microsoft Office and standard office/departmental equipment
•Flexible and adaptable to irregular schedules and changing priorities
•Effective communicator with guests and employees at all levels

Highly competitive salary based on experience with 80 hours of Paid Time Off upon hire.

Full-time that varies based on events and holidays and includes days, nights and weekends.
