Description of Work:
Perform a variety of duties involved in the administration, evaluation, treatment, care, and rehabilitation of student-athletes within the University of Nebraska Athletic Department. The focus of responsibilities will be with the sport of Track & Field, including practice and meet coverage, and any required travel. Adherence to all NCAA , conference, and institutional rules and regulations will be required. Required travel with the team will involve working long hours, nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • Professional degree (Bachelors or Masters) in Athletic Training from a CAATE accredited program and 1 year of experience as a certified athletic trainer in a collegiate setting.
  • Experience in various, athletic training environments.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • BOC / NATA certification and ability to obtain Nebraska State licensure required.
  • Emergency response certification ( CPR , basic life support) required. Must have a valid drivers license and meet University driver eligibility requirements.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1 year or more experience as full-time, certified athletic trainer within NCAA or professional athletics.
  • Previous experience providing treatment and rehabilitation of injuries to student athletes in an NCAA D-1 Track & Field program.
  • Previous experience in Big Ten Conference.
  • Additional continuing education certification ( CES , PES , etc.)
