About the Opportunity JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for overseeing all logistics of program and operational management of the women's basketball program. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the management of various administrative duties such as; organization of all team calendars, communicating with other institutions regarding delivery and receipt of game film; utilizes video/audio equipment to videotape games of opponents; coordinates team travel, including transportation arrangements, lodging, and meals; ensures luggage and equipment meets federal aviation requirements; coordinates practice times at sites when traveling; schedules practice and shoot around times and oversees the preparation of the practice floor. Coaching duties include daily practice sessions, individual player development and in game assignments. Meets with academic services staff on a regular basis to ensure student athletes are meeting the satisfactory progress and degree completion requirements; coordinates honorary coach program, creates monthly newsletter, coordinates communications with friends, family, and alumni, assist with recruiting travel arrangements, coordinates and organizes summer camps and clinics; promotes sports camps as appropriate; assists with budget development and monitors expenditures; meets with head coach on a regular basis; Hires, supervises, and monitors the performance of student managers; represents the basketball program at functions and events as necessary. Serves as a liaison between coaching staff, athletic administration and athletic support staff. Position is also responsible for other duties assigned by the head coach. RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinates the day-to-day operations of the women's basketball program. Coordinates team travel. Manage basketball software- Oversee all video operations and provide IT support to staff utilizing existing basketball video software programs (Synergy, Game breaker, Fast Draw, Fast Scout, Dragonfly). Manage all expense reconciliations, procurement expenses, operational expenses including, travel, equipment, and office expenses. Actively contribute to daily practice sessions. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree required. Up to 2 years of experience related to the above described duties, and a background in basketball is required. Master's degree preferred. Must have excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to take initiative, analyze problems and prioritize assignments. Proficiency in Microsoft Office as well as basketball software. Must be a professional front office person with administrative/office experience and be able to travel and work evenings and weekends as required. Compensation Grade/Pay Type: 106S Expected Hiring Range: $48,610.00 - $66,838.75 With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role.
