Position Summary:
Responsible for executing defined responsibilities & delivering results for complex problems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
A. Eligibility
Maintain official team rosters and assist with clearing student-athletes for practice and competition.
- Assist with initial eligibility/admissions evaluations.
- Assist with preparation of eligibility waivers (e.g., medical hardships).
Monitor playing and practice season declarations, countable athletically related activities, outside competitions and summer league participation.
- Approve sport personnel/coaching staff limitations.
Provide interpretations on NCAA and Conference rules to coaches and staff.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of NCAA , Conference, and Stonehill College policies, bylaws, interpretations, and case precedent.
- Create rules education materials and conduct rules education sessions for coaches, staff, student-athletes, and boosters.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited institution
- Working knowledge of NCAA Division I and NEC policies, rules and regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
- Highly developed problem-solving skills.
- Ability to foster and maintain working relationships with coaches, staff and members of the Stonehill College community.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
