System Administrator Jobs in Massachusetts

Organize, install, and support computer systems. Systems administrators work with a wide range of networks, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), intranets, and network segments. They are responsible for installing and updating all hardware and software. Occasionally, they collaborate with network engineers to design and analyze models as well as plan what hardware and software to buy in order to improve computer systems. They are also responsible for collecting data regarding network performance and inferring how to increase its speed.

Systems administrators are largely responsible for managing the day-to-day functioning of companies’ computer systems. They perform regular maintenance on its security components and ensure that all servers and data storage networks are operating properly. Depending on the job, some administrators are also expected to provide tech support for other employees.
