DSU is looking to hire an Assistant Coach for Women's Basketball. The assistant coach is responsible for supporting a highly competitive program in Frontier Conference and NAIA. Perform all job duties within the position including coaching, supervising, recruiting, and working with academics of student athletes.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree or higher
Supervising experience
Software skills in MS Office Suite, MS Word and Excel
Knowledge of software utilized by Play NAIA and Synergy Video.
College coaching and recruiting experience.
Detailed orientated, conscientious
Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work well with diverse populations
Ability to present professional demeanor at all times
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree or higher
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Assistant Coach, Women's Basketball
Administer effective in-game coaching and managing techniques.
Organize and implement practice plans and instruction.
Provide player development.
Practice preparation
Provide travel supervision.
Equipment inventory management
Monitor student athletes' academic progress.
Media Relations.
Day-to-day operations with players
Managing Varsity/JV teams and players
Game Day preparation and scheduling
Community service
Aid in fundraising
Camp organization and promotion
Other Duties as assigned within basketball program
Recruiting of women's basketball student athletes
Recruit and retain student athletes for varsity and jv women's basketball
Travel through region to recruit
Coordinate on campus recruiting visits
Game Day/Event manager for Volleyball and one spring sport
Be responsible for overseeing other game day event in the fall at BAC or Scott Gym. Duties at the Sanford Complex during the spring.
Coordinate GA's and work study to assign and administer game day.
COMPENSATION PACKAGE:
Salary range of $36,000-38,000/contract, commensurate with qualifications and experience

Tuition waiver benefits
Possible eligibility to participate in the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program with the US Department of Education.
